It’s been about a year and a half since metal legend Vinnie Paul passed away. HELLYEAH continues to keep his memory alive, however, with the release of the band’s latest video, Skyy And Water.

Directed by Wombat Fire and released via E7 Music, you can check out the touching 3:26 track below.

The band is asking fans to help keep Vinnie’s legacy alive by supporting the American Heart Association. There is currently a fundraiser in place.

At the time of this writing, it has raised just $265 of its $10,000 goal.

If you are in a position to contribute, please consider doing so.

Skyy And Water Lyrics

The sun isn’t quite as bright today

And it hasn’t been for a while, I’d say

Everything has a little duller hue

The smiles aren’t as wide today

They’re upside down or have been erased

Everything seems empty without you

Choking back my tears again today

I can hear your voice, I can hear you say

Don’t sweat the small stuff

And just keep on keeping on

Where the skyy meets the water

I see you,

Where the skyy meets the water

Where the skyy meets the water

I’ll see you

Where the skyy meets the water

The birds all stopped singing today,

The winds blowing hard and the clouds won’t break,

I can’t find any shelter from the rain,

I know you’re never far away,

I can hear your laugh and see your face

Will you carry us and help to ease the pain

Choking back my tears again today,

I can hear your voice, I can hear you say,

don’t sweat the small stuff,

And just Keep on keeping on

Where the skyy meets the water,

I see you,

Where the skyy meets the water,

Where the skyy meets the water,

I’ll see you,

Where the skyy, where the skyy meets the water,

Meets the water

I’m really digging this song. It’s not the typical heavy stuff we all love from HELLYEAH, but it’s a super cool tribute to their fallen comrade, God rest his soul.

What do you think of the new track?
